Founded on November 8th of 2025, MAPLES is a social club of individuals that:

Exercise Land or Environmental Stewardship as a profession
Live or conduct their practice on the lands of Mni Sota Makoce, currently known as Minnesota
Are of diasporic Asian origin

The goal of MAPLES is to provide anti-racist and culturally relevant spaces for:

Career or practice growth
Solidarity in the climate crisis
Building new, novel frameworks that directly challenge traditional concepts of colonial minded environmentalism
